I have a huge Asian rug and i don't know how to get the wrinkles out?

i just moved and we had to fold the rug up to move it. Now we've rolled it out and can't get the wrinkles out. I've tried rolling it up again and leaving it but that didn't help. What am I to do?I have a huge Asian rug and i don't know how to get the wrinkles out?
Lay it as flat as possible and place heavy books on the creases.

Let the books sit there for at least a couple of days.

This works! The books will smash the wrinkles flat.I have a huge Asian rug and i don't know how to get the wrinkles out?
Do you have wrinkles in the rug or does it just appear to be wrinkled? If you have actual ripples or wrinkles in the rug, you may need to have the rug professionally cleaned and blocked to remedy this situation. If the rug just appears to be wrinkled, it is possible that the pile is just going in every which way, and you can remedy this by dampening the rug and brushing it all in one direction and letting it dry flat. Sometimes walking for several weeks on the rug works too.
This works almost every time. Put it out side in full sun on a clean area and leave for 3 to 5 hours. While the rug is still warm take back in side and roll out. Pull out the wrinkles and leave it cool for a few hours. If your rug is priceless or a family heirloom you may want to get a professional restorer to do.
