What is the best way to prvent wrinkles? What works?

I use witch hazle. any good?

Anything else out there that you have seen results with?

Do tell.,..... please! What is the best way to prvent wrinkles? What works?
First of all, DON'T use witch hazel. It is an astringent and will dry out your skin, making it much more prone to wrinkling.

There is no way to absolutely prevent wrinkles, as they are mostly a byproduct of lowered collagen and elastin production by the skin as we get older. Only good genetics can keep that from happening. But here are some things you can do to help.

Take a good multivitamin every day and drink lots of water to ensure your skin gets what it needs from the inside.

Exfoliate daily with a gentle exfoliant. One of the best out there is baking soda. Its gentle and doesn't over scrub your skin. Rinse with plenty of warm water after massaging it well over your skin.

Even if you THINK you have oily skin, don't use astringents and moisturize religiously every day with a high SPF moisturizer. Most oily skin is a result of not having enough oil in your skin. Oil glands will overcompensate and produce more oil to help give skin the moisture it needs. A high SPF moisturizer will keep you from getting as much sun damage as you would normally get.

Stay out of the sun, and if you have to go out in it for any length of time, use a high SPF sunscreen on every exposed part of your skin.

At night, break open a vitamin E capsule and smooth the oil into the parts of your skin that are prone to wrinkling first (around the lips, eyes, forehead). Allow it to settle into the skin before bed.

When removing your makeup, use a creamy cleanser, and massage it upwards from your chin to your forehead. Massaging downwards will only speed gravity's pull on your face and hasten wrinkling. Remove the cleanser in upward sweeping motions with a soft cloth and warm water. Remember to moisturize well afterwards.

Weekly facials with glycolic acid products will help to chemically encourage exfoliation and help minimize clogged pores and dry skin. Be careful with glycolics. They are acids and if left on the skin long enough could burn.

Try to be aware of ';repetitive motions'; like frowning and squinting which cause muscle furrowing, and thus wrinkling. Try to wear sunglasses when outdoors, and relax your muscles when you catch yourself squinting or frowning.

Good luck! What is the best way to prvent wrinkles? What works?
The most important thing is to avoid stress! Really, creams and sunblock can only do so much. I were stressed out as *** last year and it has really marked my face I feel... I've gotten a start of that ';angry-line'; between the eyebrows. Try to be happy and positive and avoid stress!=)
STAY OUT OF THE SUN AND DON'T SMOKE. IF YOU LOSE WEIGHT DO IT SLOWLY SO YOUR SKIN CAN ADJUST. USE SUNSCREEN. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN WITH MOISTURIZERS.
Use a moisturizer daily with an SPF of at least 15. Apply it a few times throughout the day, whether you are indoors or out. Even when you are inside the sun can damage your skin and cause wrinkles.
Take all your make up off before going to bed, wash your face with a good face wash (oil of olay, dove etc.) that promotes moisture twice a day, and use a light moisturiser cream before bed. Wrinkles tend to come no matter what, but you can slow down the process this way. Also, if you get pimples or blackheads, don't squeeze them. Just wash them. Tugging and pushing at your skin that way will harm the elasticity in it.
Sun Block SPF 15 or higher. Use it everyday, rain or shine. If you already have wrinkles, a moisturizer will work best.
Stay out of the sun. Use sunscreen every day. Use serums at night.

stay out of the sun. when you apply moisterizer dont wipe it up when u rub it in rub up. use witch hazel.
I used Strivectin Eye Cream. It's a bit expensive but it really works for wrinkles under the eye. When you apply it you can feel your skin tighten. This product can be purchased online or @ any higher end retail store like Saks Fifth Avenue or Nordstroms. Try it for free for 30 days if you order it online. You can use all of it and if it doesn't work, just send it back for a full refund...no questions asked.
I've heard alot of people use just sunscreen.
